Reiki: Rei (Universal)- ki (energy)

This ancient healing art was rediscovered in Japan in the 1800’s by Mikao Usui.  Reiki releases, activates, and transforms energy. Reiki is a wonderful preventative health measure however you don’t need to be sick to enjoy the benefits of Reiki. Reiki restores, and re-balances the body’s energy system, as well as clears blockages. Reiki enables the body’s natural healing abilities to do their job effectively.

All organs, glands and cells of the body are energized and re-balanced, enabling them to function more efficiently. Reiki heals not only the symptoms but also the underlying causes of the dis-ease with deep healing taking place on all levels: physical, mental, and emotional. Reiki treats the body as a whole rather than treating just the symptoms.

Reiki is deeply relaxing, relieves stress, tension and pain, calms fears, boosts self-esteem, heals, rejuvenates, and energizes. A complete healing system in itself, Reiki will also complement all other treatments.

My Reiki Journeyglow

I finished the Master/Reiki course (distantly) in 2002. I had been looking for a license or permit to practice and discovered that most credible agencies require ‘in person’ training.

I became the ‘test’ subject. Is there a difference between hands on training, and on-line training, with Reiki masters? YES! I had incredible results with the course on line, the intensity of the energy and ability to help others was much quicker and stronger after the ‘hands on’ training.

Either method is acceptable!  To practice Reiki legally requires licensing and membership with a healing association.

My licensing and memberships for this modality is with C.R.A (Canadian Reiki Association)

I have began the (2nd time round) Master/Teacher course…which means over a year ‘shadowing’ a my accredited Master/Teacher, leading classes with teacher guidance. Then I will truly be a Master/Teacher!
